The Oil and Gas Industry Construction international conference (NEFTEGAZSTROY-2011) was held May 19, 2011, in the Radisson-Slavyanskaya Hotel. This event was organized by the Association of Oil and Gas Complex Constructors and the Oil and Gas Equipment Producers Association.
The international conference was opened by General Director of the Oil and Gas Equipment Producers Association Alexander Apostolov. In his report titled “Construction Development Prospects in the Oil and Gas Industry”, he outlined a part of world-level projects strategically important not for Gazprom only, but for the Russian state in general, as well as the mechanism of functioning of the self-regulation system based on the example of NP SRO OSGiNK. Particularly, he emphasized the fact that the Partnership had got an official offer to enter the international organization “European Business Congress”, which promotes the OSCE development and continuous dialogue between political circles and the private business. Apostolov said that in future, when the Partnership became a member of the European Business Congress, its members would obtain additional benefits, lying in the exchange of construction practices and technologies with European counterparts and the opportunity of international cooperation with leading world companies.
Reports at the conference were made by representatives of the leading Russian oil and gas companies, including: Director of Directorate for Procurement and Capital Construction of Gazprom neft OAO Abdulla Karaev; Director of Department for Construction and Investment Projects of Transneft OJSC Andrei Komarov; Director for Strategy and Development of Stroygazmontazh LLC Joseph Panchak; President of the Oil and Gas Equipment Producers Association Alexander Romanikhin; Deputy General Director of Gazprom razvitiye LLC Viktor Shukhno, and others.
The participants of the conference discussed realization of the large-scale infrastructural projects on the territory of the Russian Federation, including: oil and gas pipelines construction; continental shelf development; construction of terminals; and other urgent issues of the oil and gas industry. Summarizing the results of the conference, its participants and organizers marked high significance of this event for the oil and gas industry, as well as for the country in general.
